In the heart of Hamburg. The Reeperbahn belongs to Hamburg just as the Eiffel Tower belongs to Paris. Located between fish market, Heiligengeistfeld and the Elbe River.
Entertainment & Erotic
Well, you might say, you must see the Reeperbahn once ... but at daytime? It's true: The Reeperbahn is inevitable for loud music, lots of people, dance, party, sex, exotic and so on. Here the motto is: Just let yourself drift away at night! But: A trip at daytime is equally worth it. The Hamburg Reeperbahn in daylight will offer you a special and different view on this "erotic mile". Here you will notice that "shopping on the Reeperbahn" is very much possible. Although the selection is naturally somewhat limited!
What to get on the Reeperbahn
On the one hand, you can shop beautiful souvenirs of the Hanseatic city on the "Kiez" (that is how the locals call the Reeperbahn and its surroundings). You'll get everything here from the coffee cup to ties up to the dog bowl with the St. Pauli landmark (skull) on it. These things can be found mainly on the side of the police station (Davidwache) but also on the opposite side. Furthermore, you should not be embarrassed to take a look at one of the many adult shops and sex shops (preferably in one of the shops on the left side if you look towards the two "dancing towers" or the "Michel" - that is the flashy bell tower at the end of the street). If you are not an expert in matters of sextoys, you will be surprised by the offers! Eroticism is simply a part of the life on the Kiez. So show no fear and just dive off!
Best with the S-Bahn lines S1 and S3 (station: Reeperbahn) from the city center (eg from the station Jungfernstieg or the main station). Or take the U3 (station St. Pauli)
Souvenirs / clothing:
e.g. the "Aladin Center"
e.g. 'Boutique Bizarre' (Reeperbahn 35), 'WOS - World of Sex' (Reeperbahn 9), 'Condomerie' (Spielbudenplatz 19)
Own car park on the "Spielbudenplatz" (located in the middle of the Reeperbahn)
ATMs are widely distributed throughout the Reeperbahn. You can eat very well in different locations (eg pizzeria in the Detlev-Bremer-Straße, or good and cheap at Schweinske at the end of the Reeperbahn directly at the rear exit of the train station (S-Bahn). The best Currywurrst you will get at the Lucullus - the pavilion you will find opposite to the police station "Davidwache")
