The "Marktplatz Galerie" (Bramfeld)

Einkaufszentrum Marktplatz Galerie in Hamburg BramfeldIn the middle of Bramfeld, the Marktplatz Galerie is located since 2011. A smaller but smart shopping center with an idea, a concept and more inside it than expected at first glance.

Thus, the perfect heading for this ECZ would actually be "small but fine". But in order to not overburden this description we simply pass this here. Nevertheless, this gallery is of rather small size, coupled with a an impression of efficient use of space, which dominates this urban cube.

The architecture is not very spectacular. At first glance, visitors will be confronted with one of those typical, modern, traditional clinker buildings, which have been built in Hamburg in recent years. However, there is a clean concept of this building, finding itself in between modernity and tradition. The clinker is traversed by a lot of glass. Inside, wood is a pleasantly present building material.

The shopping center has 3 levels. You could say the lower floor is more for the purchase. The two floors above for shopping, tasting and experience.

Shops & Services

"A center for all of those for whom shopping is not just shopping." is one of the sayings of the marketplace gallery. And somehow it hits the slogan. Without ifs and buts, the Marktplatz Galerie is primarily aimed at covering daily needs. But this center does not make the mistake of concentrating on one side (shopping) or just the other (shopping).

The concept seems to be to a combination of both. Decorated with sensible services and all this in an atmosphere that is not cramped.

So, roughly speaking, on the ground floor you’ll get all the foodstuffs and consumer goods, that is needed for the week. Here you find the higher priced REWE and the discounter Lidl in the immediate vicinity, which is supplemented by a Rossmann.

On the other two floors the shops can be found which rather invite for strolling. Clearly, the fashion and clothing sector (for example, S. Oliver, Esprit, H & M, Bonita, C & A) dominates. But also a big toy store (with its own indoor slide!) and many smaller stores and services such as opticians, office supplies, savings bank, telecommunications and much more are located here. The services are a little bit in the background. Even here - and this is a good thing - the baker and the hairstylists are available. The typical density of bakeries and hairdressing salons, which are found in other places, however, do not dominate the scene.

Hungry?

Anyone who comes here to satisfy his hunger won't be disappointed.

On the first level of the center there are several smaller snack bars and cafes with plenty of seating. Here you can take a seat to recover from shopping or to get an overview of everything.

Conclusion

The marketplace gallery definitely belongs to the category "clear, needs-friendly, sympathetic and pleasant" but also "locally oriented". For the Center itself, this role likely is very acceptable so far. The Marktplatz Galerie surely is unrivaled as a shopping facility in Bramfeld. Thanks to its mix of products and services, its lively atmosphere and some really great "add-ons“ like a charging station for smartphones. As already said: Small, but fine!
